The human body is comprised of living energy. When the energy flow is disrupted, it results in sickness and dis-ease. Much of alternative medicine is based on keeping the energy flowing by removing blockages that cause the disruption. There are many names for this energy in different forms of medicine but for our purposes we will call it "Qi" (pronounced "chee").

In Oriental Medicine the Qi flows through channels called "meridians". Along these meridians there are hundreds of points whereby the Qi can be manipulated. There are many ways of manipulating these points and the energy that flows through the channels.

Massage (Tui Na in Oriental Medicine) can be used to help move energy along and to relieve soreness and tightness in muscles. Tai Qi and Qi Gong can be used to move and manipulate the energy flow as well.

Acupuncture is used on the points to assist in the correct flow of energy. Reiki is also a form of energy healing and balance as well.

Dr. Rudy also uses Egyptian Healing Rods to help heal and balance the body's energy. The rods are used for both healing and spiritual practices. They raise vibration in the body which increases higher consciousness. When the mind and body are aligned, healing occurs.
